A green sheet is attached to the back of the photo and labeled from "The Daily Review" which is crossed out and written next to it is "Oakland Photo." This sheet lists the caption to go with the photo, "Filmaker Jerome Newton filmed rappers Edwin Winston, Danny Ford, and Michael Williams in front of the Oakland Library on Monday. Danny Ford, a maintenance worker at the library wrote a rap song on the value of learning to read and KTOP cable filmed it." Photo shows four African-American men standing in front of the Oakland Public Library. One is standing behind a video camera on a tripod and he is filming three men all wearing dark sweatshirts and shorts. On the shirts is printed "Books in the Hood."
