One of the photo taken by Doc Rogers in the aftermath of the 1906 Earthquake in San Francisco. [We do not have his original negatives.] Clipping on the back, "Apr. 17, 1955--The San Francisco City Hall was both shattered by the quake and gutted by fire. Smoke clouds rise in the background. And already plans were being made to rebuild the city." Photo shows the skeletal remains of the Old City Hall. Depris litters the ground everywhere.
