Letter written by Alexander C. Colthirst in Colon, Panama to Edward Harris, the business manager for the Oakland Larks. Colthrist is trying to make arrangements to come to the United States from Panama to try out with the Larks. Colthirst is concerned about paying for the passage to the U.S. He states that the US consul in Panama needs to see a contract from the Larks before they can allow Colthirst to go. Colthirst suggest a one month contract for the period when he is trying out for the team and asks that Harris be willing to split the cost of the passage with him. Letterhead is from "Cadena Panamena de Radiodifusion, Panama Broadcasting System."
