A ready made bow tie of green, black, purple and white stripes, fancy weave silk. On the reverse there is an "R" to signify which side is "right," and a metal hook that would have fit over the collar button perfectly. It is possible that this bow was worn by a woman as it is small, and would have been appropriate with the talored shirts c. 1890-1905.
