A portable "Western City" for children. As per the notation on the back of the photo, this is "a popular portable play set built by the Oakland Recreation Department shops and located [first] at the Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center...." The scene includes a model stage coach, drawn by a team of two wooden horses, On the far side of the stage coach, the false fronts of a Western town are in place; one of the false fronts is marked "Wells Fargo & Co." A wooden horse is tied to a hitching post in front of one of the shops. A child is on the horse, a child is in front of the team, and three children are sitting on the steps of the covered walkway of the Wells Fargo office.
