Toy used with great joy upon the digging up of the basement (roads for the truck, dirt to dig, etc.). Playroom was then built in the basement. Toy dates from 1930s and probably was gift for Christmas and/or birthday. (Toys were not received without a special reason). Per A. Elizabeth Kennedy, sister of donor 7/17/02. Toy dump truck is steel, painted black. Wheels are painted black with red centers. Front left wheel has been replaced with a wooden wheel. There is a lever on the left side which lifts up the truck bed to dump its contents, back of truck bed swings open.
