This is a typewritten and signed letter by Rafael J. Gonzalez, Faculty Senator, to the Faculty Senate at Laney College, protesting the involvement of the United States in Cambodia; the second page details three resolutions adopted May 5, 1970 deploring Nixon's actions in Cambodia and the death of four students at Kent State University, and declaring Wednesday, May 6, 1970 as a day of mourning. It gives the time, date and location of convocation, and states that after the ceremony students, faculty and staff will assemble at Peralta Park for a peace and mourning march to Oakland City Hill.
