Glossy black and white photograph shows (L-R) unidentified woman in a tweed coat with a fur collar (the heel of her white shoe resting on the edge of the runningboard of the De Soto convertible behind her), Frederick Nicholas Morcom, Mayor of the City of Oakland (pointing with his right hand), singer/actor Bing Crosby is standing just behind just behind the mayor. Crosby has his felt fedora hat in his left hand; he's wearing a white shirt, necktie, sports coat, slacks and two-toned wing tip shoes. Part os the structure of the bandstand in the park at Lake Merritt is visible behind the car. (The date on the dealer's license plate of the car is 1932.)

Morcom was elected mayor in 1931 and served a two year term until 1933.
