Taken in front of my Maybeck / studio. A Pope-Hartford car." - written in graphite with cursive script, verso

Black and white photograph includes an image of two men and three women in a Pope-Hartford automobile. The automobile has an open top and the outside is decorated with ribbons and two pennant style flags attached to poles at the front of the vehicle. Additional pennant flags are attached to the front grille and the across spare tire on the right side of the car. The car appears to be stopped on a residential street near a brick wall. Trees and vegetation are visible on the other side of the wall and a brick building is just visible in the composition at upper right. Text written on the back of the photograph reads, "1907 / Herbert Mackie / Allan Freeman / Belle Klugel / Mrs Maurer / Mrs Edmund Gray / Killed in an auto crash 1908 / Mrs Gray (now Mrs Stone). / living in Majorca, age 94 / She was my sister-in-law. Taken in front of my Maybeck / studio. A Pope-Hartford car."
