Visiting Professor Ashnaf El Baoumi of Alexandra University, Egypt, speaking into a microphone to a crowd of students on Sproul Plaza, U.C. Berkeley during an anti-war teach-in at the time of the Gulf War. Prominent in the photo is the Student Union building (behind the crowd of students). On verso is the photographer's stamp, "Gary Reyes," and the date stamp, "Jan 22 1991." Also on verso is the handwritten description, in black ball point pen, "Professor Ashnaf El Bayoumi, a visiting scholar from Alexander (sic -- Alexandria?) University in Egypt speaks during an anti-war teach-in at UC Berkeley."
