Poster on white paper has a circular color image at center that shows a green fire breathing serpent hovering in a blue sky with white clouds above grasses and flowers. The rest of the poster is printed in black and white. A larger circle around the colored graphic is divided into 12 sections with a different animal in each section. "Tibetan Calendar" is printed at top and "2104 / Fire-Serpent Year / 1977" is printed at bottom. Circular images in the four corners include a "24-hour Cycle," "Celestial Mansions and ReLated Animals," "60-Year Cycle Rapchung," and a Ying-Yang with Seasons, solstices and equinoxes. Additional information with colors, symbols, and days of the week appear at right and left. An outer border has woven square motifs at each corner.
