This is a white poster with a solid black map of Africa in the bottom half of the page. There is a cluster of black and white faces in the center of the map. Yellow, red, and orange geometric shapes surround Africa and come to a point near the top of the page. Black text inside the shapes above the map reads "You / Can Not / Extinguish / The Intense / Flame Of Life" and "Fight / Apartheid" below the map. There is an extremely small, printed artist's signature along the bottom right edge of Africa reading "Becky McCurdy". There is a quote in the bottom left corner beginning with "We have set out on a quest for true humanity, and somewhere on the distant horizon we / can see the glittering prize." It is attributed to "Steve Biko, Late leader / Black Consciousness Movement".

This is from a series of posters produced as a calendar by the American Committee on Africa. [LMC]
