Poster has black text and images printed on purple paper. Poster has text centered at top in Athabaskan followed by English, which reads "Become A Foster Parent" followed by another line of Athabaskan. Under the preceeding text is two columns of text, a poem entitled "Beautiful Children, we are / All of us" by Patricia Ann Davis, a Choctaw-Navajo. The poem''s title is beneath the body of the piece and centered with two circular basket lids at both sides. Behind the poem is a highly transparent image of the Great Seal of the Navajo Nation. At the bottom of the poster is a cyclical image with four circles inthe North, West, South, and East positions. Within the cirlces are images - at the North is a set of grandparents; at the West is a set of parents; at the South is a "youth"; and at the East is a child. At the center of the ellipse formed by the images is the text "Native American concept: born spirituall holy ''Permission to be Precious'' '' Nurturing the child-within''". Centered at the bottom of the poster is the contact information for the New Mexcio offices of the Eastern Navajo Division of Social Services. |
