Clipper ship card. Description: Ship: Shooting Star, Wm. T. Coleman & Co., California Line for San Francisco. A very rare card. ca. 1860's. Four color litho. Only two other cards recorded. one in Peabody Museum, Salem, Mass., and one other large card with horizontal format showing a hugh ship covering three-fourths of the card. This card came from The Marine Historical Ass'n, Mystic Conn. on a trade for two other cards with sailing ship Broadsides which they needed to decorate their new building then under construction.
