"Melrose Station on the way to Ivywood". Photograph. Description: Melrose station, elevation 28', last stop on the Melrose Line which connected with S.F. train. Melrose was previously called Austin. Both steam & electric trains ran on this line. Dates of service from 9/2/1862-12/12/1911. Photo shows people disembarking as well as getting on train. Restaurants and a sweet shop were across the street from the station.
