scarf. Description: green, red, and white silk scarf (either for use as a table scarf, or for a person); pattern is a print of flowers with a paisley-like border; short fringed ends; from India. Dimensions: 38-1/2" x 41" Condition: very good; some spotting along border. History: Belonged to Mrs. William E. Dargie (nee Ermina Peralta).
Is this a souvenir? It is a resist dye crepe. There is no Western style indicator - can't tell if it is pre or post 20's. (Originally catalogued as early 20th c.) (Joan Severa, 3/15/1994)
