Clipping on the back, June 7, 1942-- "These Moore Shipyard Navy Division employees dropped their work for a few minutes to attend ceremonies for Hitler-the kind he won't like. His picture, shown in the prominent place it will occupy in the yard, will spur the workmen to greater efforts in the emergency shipbuilding program. -Tribune photos." Photo shows a large crowd of people, mostly men, standing in a yard in front of a three story building. They are all looking toward a caricature drawing of Hitler which is near the building. A painter is standing in front of the drawing, painting the lower portion black. A large crane is in the middle of the crowd and the men are standing on and around it. The caricature was used as a way to spur on the building of a particular ship. As the ship neared completion, the caricature would be painted black according to the percentage of the completion.
