Handwritten on the back, "airport chart 59 Picas Yearbook #4862, 3/31/37." Photo is an aerial view of the Oakland Airport with artists drawings around the airport showing where new additions and changes are going to be made. Measurements with arrows are drawn across and airfield indication length and width. At the bottom, "Oakland Municipal Airport 850 Acres." Each of the airport buildings are designated-- 1. Airport Inn and Restaurant; 2. Administration Building, Airport Superintendent, Bureau of Air Commerce, Inspection service, Airways Communications, U.S. Weather Bureau, U.S. Post Office, First Aid Station, Public Telephones, Telegraph; 3. (hangar) Army Aircorps Reserve Base Squadrons 316-367; 4. (hangar) Naval Reserve Air Base- Squadron 14 Marine Corps Reserve Air Base- Squadrn 10; 5 (hangar) United Air Lines Boeing School of Aeronautics; 6. (hangar) Bureau of Air Commerce, Airways Control Tower and Airport Control Tower. Areas designated as the Airport Channel with a seaplane ramp; "Airport Industrial Area 135 Acres", "Bureau of Air Commerce Airways Radio Station and Radio Beacon."
