2000.1.1043

Per the notation on the back of the photo which identifies the man in the left portion as James LeFlaver, masquerading as T. R., or Theodore Rossevelt, attired in a campaign hat, cravat, holster and pistol, and puttees. He is patently at a costume party, and is posed standing in front of the same paneled wood wall as in 2000.1.1042. What is missing from this photo is an explanation of the man posed at T.R.'s left, an angelic photo of a man wearing a white sheet, holding large keys [to heaven?] in his left hand, a fake long gray beard, and matching wig. He is also holding a wire halo over his head with his right hand.
