Tribune caption on the back, April 9, 1975: "First Look at a New World: A frightened little face peers from the shelter of a blanket as another wave of Vietnamese orphans arrived at Travis Air Force Base yesterday. An older youngster, held by Air Force Sgt. Patrick Kelly, turns a grave gaze on his new land. In all, 286 children arrived. (See story on page 1)." Handwritten, "Sgt. Patrick Kelley volunteered his time." Photo shows an Air Force sergent holding a Vietnamese boy in his arms. The boy appears to be about 4 or 5 years old. He is bundled up in a blanket and is holding a toy.
