"Fabrications 2000," Oakland Museum of California, April 8 - June 11, 2000.

This quilt block was entered in the School Quilt Block Competition for students in grades K-12 in Alameda County; the deadline was March 17, 2000. This winning piece was exhibited in "Fabrications 2000" held in the Education Hall Galllery, April 8 - June 11, 2000. This block won a 3rd prize for grades K-5. It was made at the Oakland Montessori School by 3rd and 4th grade students under the direction of Tanya Renverkamp, teacher. The larger block has a navy blue border and sashing between four patterned blocks. The students who did the work are: Samantha P., Jeremy H., Jennifer E., Anne Smith, Michaela J., Elizabeth P., Darlene R., Deanna L. Dawson, Galen M. and Grace Yon.
