Image shows a woman (identified as Mrs. E. Griffith on the reverse) in what is described in the boarders as "A modern up to date kitchen, San Francisco, Calif. April 1906"- the kitchen is made out of shutters and is a square shanty half on the sidewalk and half on the cobblestone street- kitchens were outside to avoid starting any additional fires due to broken gas lines.
