Bonnie Cashin Weatherwear for Russ Taylor

This tan poplin raincoat was designed by (Oakland born designer) Bonnie Cashin. It has long raglan sleeves, a pointed collar that is pread open, fastens down the front with four brass toggles (typical of Cashin's sporty design style. The pockets are entered from the sides, but are distinguished by a top stitched rectangular element in the center front of the coat. The lining is creamed colored and nicely finished.

One of the interesting things about this coat is that it was among a group of garments rescued by the donor's husband, just before their home was engulfed in the 1991 Oakland hills firestorm.
