Small publication with a pale gray cover, white pages, printed in black, advertising the community of Pacific Grove, c. 1900. Well illustrated, the booklet contains various images of local sites, churches, the Mission at Carmel, El Carmelo Hotel where guests can find rooms for "moderate rates of $9.00 to $12.00 per week." The Hopkins Sea Side Laboratories are linked to Stanford University. There are also two images that illustrate the Chinese fishing industry in the Monterey Bay Area; one shows the shore and fishing boats; the other is of a family selling abalone shells from a road side stand.
