From "Hamilton, William J. Alameda County Supervisor Died 11-6-38" folder. From caption on back of photograph: "With characteristic energy and zeal Chairman William J. Hamilton, of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors -- and member of the Joint Exposition Commission for Alameda and Contra Costa Counties helps the good work along at ground-breaking ceremony on Treasure Island Wednesday. The California State Commission reports active work well under way on construction." Photograph of Supervisor William J. Hamilton at what looks like a construction site. Hamilton is wearing a dark suit and hat. However, he is also grasping a long wood saw in the foreground and seems to be either sawing wood or at least holding the saw in position. He wears a tag on his suit that reads "Alameda County - California." Piles of wooden planks lie all around in the background. Further back, a large building appears to be under construction.
