A: This pair of yellow knitted wool swim trunks was made by the Catalina company (of Pacific Knitting Mills) and has their flying fish logo stitched the the garment above the proper left leg. B: Is a white webbing belt has a betal buckle with "Catalina" on it. There's a black stripe down either side of the trunks. There's a small pocket, with a triangular flap (buttoned with a yellow button) on the proper right side, front. The appearance of a fly front is stitched on the garment. Inside, center back is a cloth label "Catalina, Pacific Knitting Mills, waist 34, weight 145-160." The trunks were worn by Frank Cerny (b. 1911 - d. 2004)--father of the donor. It is possible that the trunks were used by other male members of the family, perhaps Frank's father, or his two brothers.
