2008.6.1.82 and .83 found in an acidic paper envelope labeled in blue ballpoint pen, "1906 / Weltevreden / also / O.M. by Dr. Caulkins / in 1932," and in graphite, "1 sec. 5/7." Note written in blue ballpoint pen with a large X across text on opposite side reads, "My dear Claude / These prints represent the / two which are to be printed / as a matched pair. One / negative you have. The other / is here inclosed. My mistake / I lost your memorandum / Sincerely / Oscar Maurer."

Black and white film photonegative of Weltevreden, a residence at 1755 Le Roy Avenue, Berkeley, CA. Plate contains an image of a multiple story brick house with paned windows and an open air porch. The house appears at center in the composition surrounded by dense trees and vegetation. A road spans the photograph in the lower margin and a bridge constructed with parallel brick walls appears at bottom center.
