Card was obtained at the Monterey County Republican Party Headquarters in Salinas.
Front of card shows the headline, "Monterey 4 McCain," above a photo of McCain and a quote: "'Glory belongs to the act of being constant to something greater than yourself, to a cause, to your principles, to the people on whom you rely and who rely on you in return.' -John McCain." Near the bottom are the words, "Visit Us On The Web: www.monterey4mccain.com," and a logo saying, "McCAIN: JOHNMCCAIN.COM".
Back of card gives three campaign themes:
"Immigration: As president, I will secure the border. I will restore the trust Americans should have in the basic competency of their government. I have always believed that our border must be secure and that the federal government has utterly failed in its responsibility to ensure that it is secure."
"Iraq: I believe it is strategically and morally essentially for the United States to support the government of Iraq to become capable of governing itself and safeguarding its people. I strongly disagree with those who advocate withdrawing American troops before that has occurred."
"Health Care: I believe we can and must provide access to health care for every American. I have proposed a comprehensive vision for achieving that. For too long our nation's leaders have talked about reforming health car. Now is the time to act."
