Magenta text inside the border at the bottom reads "In each issue of Akwesasne Notes, There is a centerfold poster. The entire series is available as separate posters. They measure 17 X 22 inches and are / printed in various colors. This poster combines a photograph, "Bear Belly-Arickara" by Catlin with a quote from Luther Standing Bear. Any combination of / posters is available at 3 for $1, or 50 cents each. (Please add and extra 50 cents for a cardboard mailing tube and shipping.) Akwesasne Notes, / Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne, via Rooseveltown, New York 13683." There is also a "Glad Day Press" union label and New York address in the bottom left corner.

This poster has a thin, magenta border inside a ? to 1 inch margin. A sepia toned photograph of a male figure wearing an animal skin covers the poster inside the margin. To the right of the figures hear is a quote in white reading "We did not thing of / the great open plains, / the beautiful rolling / hills, and winding / streams with tangled / growth, as 'wild'. Only / to the white man / was nature a 'wilder- / ness' infested with / 'wild' animals and / 'savage' people. To / us it was tame. Earth / was bountiful and we / were surrounded with / the blessings of the / Great Mystery."
