Bottom center has "The Union of Vietnamese in the United States P.O. Box 1023 Inglewood, California 90308 Phone: 637-2373."

Poster has a black and white photograph of a man's head close up. Below the image is "Nguyen Thai Binh/ Born: 1948 - Assassinated: July 2, 1972." Above the photo reads, "I am willing to take any risk. My responsibility is to future generations of Vietnamese. He chose to return to Hanoi to "stand in the line of the Vietnamese people in the struggle for national liberation." Nguyen Thai Binh was deported by the U.S. government to Viet Nam at the request of the Saigon government in retaliation for his active participation in anti-war activities. After making a symbolic declaration that he wanted the airplane to fly to Hanoi, Binh was killed and his body thrown out on the airport tarmac. The Union of Vietnamese in the United States (which later became the Association of Vietnamese in the United States) was formed by activist after news of his murder. This group supported the peace program of the National Liberation Front (NLF) and was a vital component of early 1970s antiwar efforts. [LMC]
