Poster has a blue spotted background with orange and red text. In the center is an image of the silhouettes of Soviet Union symbols including a crossed hammer and sickle, rays of the sun and ears of wheat. The poster has a green design bordering two sides. Poster reads, "Poster Art of the Soviet Union/ La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art/ October 22nd, 1989 to January 7, 1990." This title is transLated to Russian in the bottom right corner. Off to the left side is a description of the exhibit starting with, "The American Institute of Graphic Arts/ San Diego and the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art will present a vibrant exhibition of up to 100 contemporary Soviet posters--the larget collection of posters from the USSR ever to be shown in this country--as a part of the San Diego Arts Festival, beginning Oct. 22..."
