The upper left of the poster reads, "Women Artists Out Front/ Women artists of the past and present want their art to be shown in the museums of today. Six contemporary artists honored women artists of the past at a picket of a prominent San Francisco museum which declined to show "Women Artists 1550-1950" an exhibition which toured the United States in 1977. 156 paintings by 84 international artists were brought together in this outstanding historical exhibition organized by Dr. Ann Sutherland Harris and Dr. Linda Nochlin, and assembled by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art."
