Bottom edge has "Printed At: Vijay Fine Arts, Sivakasi. Ph. 1395."

Poster has a black background with light grey text. In the center is a drawing of a red Eveready battery with a 9. A cat with large fangs and blood dripping from its mouth is jumping through the 9. The bottom left has a Union Carbide logo. The battery is also spewing grey smoke with a black skeleton like face in it. The bottom edge reads, "Boycott Killer Carbide!/ Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad." This poster illustrates the Bhopal disaster, December 2-3, 1984 in India. It was one of the world's most devastating industrial accidents, with a chemical leak that killed as many as 8,000 people and injured even more. The Eveready battery with the black cat (nine lives, long lasting) was one of Union Carbide's products. [LMC]
