The Radical Theatre Repertory (1968-1969) was the brainchild of the San Francisco Mime Troupe's Ronald Davis and founded by Saul and Oda Gottlieb. The New York based cooperative consisted of several American experimental theatre groups and encouraged developments in new and experimental forms which did not find a place in the commercial theatre. The NYC-based Living Theatre was founded in 1947 and is the oldest experimental theatre group still existing in the U.S. [LMC]
