Glass plate negative. Description: Hotel Del Monte. N.W. corner of 59th St. and San Pablo Ave. (notice "Klinknerville" sign over entrnace.) The prize fighters trained here. The hotel was at the corner of the old Eureka Park and Klinknerville Ball Park. Condition: good. 5" x 8". Klinkner Collection, neg. #31 - "Hotel Del Monte, ca. 1886-1887. Located on the n/w corner of 59th Street & San Pablo Ave. (Notice Klinknerville sign over entrance) the Prize Fighters trained here. The Hotel was at the corner of the old Eureka Park and the Klinknerville Ball Park". History: The plates was taken by Charles S. Klinkner, Jr., son of Charles Klinkner, Sr., who founded the town. The donor is the grandson of the senior and nephew of the photographer.
