Silver Oval cake basket. Description: Silver Oval cake basket embossed and engraved with handle monogrammed "EW", by Schulz & Fischer Co. Further description: Stamped on bottom: S.F. Cal, Coin, and a round stamp that looks like a knight with a staff riding an animal. Dimensions: Base: 5 1/16" x 3 15/16"; Top: 8 13/16" x 11 3/8"; H: 8-1/2" History: Ed Morse: Victorian; Ca 1870's Prob formed over wooden pattern starting with rolled sheet stock; chased engraved ornament; hand formed foot, die rolled ornamental.
