Given to Mary Van Buren Seavey as a young girl by her godmother in Middletown, Rhode Island. She moved to California when she married a Californian. The figure illustrated in this cell is one of the  Kentaurides (a female centaur).  However, in Disney's film "Fantasia," for which this cell was made, the female centaurs were called "Centaurettes."
