Handwritten on the back of the photo, "Stinson monoplane of Century Pacific Air Lines, Oak-L.A. at Oak airport." Photo shows the plane parked on the runway, three men standing on the far side of the plane. On the side of the plane is written "Century Pacific Lines." Stinson Airplane Syndicate was formed in 1925 by E.A. Stinson. He built several biplanes and the Detroiter monoplane in 1927. In 1929 after merging with Cord Corporation the firm moved to Wayne, Michigan from Detroit. The firm built eight passenger trimotor airliners around this time and went on to produce many other planes until the 1940s.
