Clipping on the back, September 29, 1942-- "Employees of the west yard of the Moore Dry Dock Company now save from 25 to 30 minutes each day in getting to and from work as the result of the opening of a series of parking lots. The new lots, constructed from plans worked out by Lieut. Lester J. Divine of the Oakland Police Department, have room for more than 2000 vehicles and the capacity will soon be expanded to 3300. Preference is given operators of automibiles who fill their vehicles to capacity. Pooling of cars has been encouraged by the company, with the result that maximum use is made of all. Cars are not allowed to park on the side of the road, presenting a clear highway to arriving and departing workers. -Tribune photo." Photo shows a huge parking lot filled with cars. Behind the parking lot, behind a fence appears to be a train yard. On the left side of the photo is a car parked in front of a saw horse with a sign that says "Road Construction, No Parking." A policeman is standing in the bottom left corner in the middle of a fork in the road.
