Handwritten in pencil on the back of the photo, "Caroline Galster and Pat MacMahon accused of being strike breakers, as mob grew abusive, undentified man between them came to their rescue." Photo shows two women being escorted by at man in an overcoat and hat. Both women are carrying notebooks in their arms. The woman on the right is turning to speak to the growing crowd of people walking behind them. A crowd of men and women are following them. Walking right next to the girls is a young man in a belted overcoat and baggy trousers, wearing eyeglasses. They are walking by a barber shop.
