The cups and saucers in this collection come from Della's Tea Cup Cafe, 7309 MacArthur Boulevard, Oakland, which was established in February, 1967. The cafe is noted for, and decorated with, a very large collection of tea cups. Some of the cups were purchased by the owner, others were presented to her as gifts, while still others were made for her. A: Cup, glazed, white exterior, black handle, inside bottom is bright baby blue, inside rim area has pattern of black trees (with orange colored, yellow and green fruits), mauve mountains/hills, and birds with black wings, heads and tails and orange colored breasts. Cup and saucer are both marked on the bottom "Shelley China, England." The cup and saucer also have markings in black: "11355/25". B: Saucer, center is baby blue, rim has tree and bird pattern. Under side is white. From Dellas collection is a white and orange paper tag marked "62X".
