A photograph of a watercolor painting, signnd and naemd by artist as Oakland Creek, April 13, 1897. The inscription on the bottom of the photo reads "Twelfth Street Bridge Across Lake Merritt in 18907 before any Filling Was Done. Boat House on Left, Fisherman's Shack on left. (From, Watercolor by Wyeth Jones, Property of Oakland" The boat house, more at center than left, is propped up by timbers; the shack is at right. The wooden bridge runs horizontally across the painting at center.
